July 14, 2015 - Today marks the start of a new season of updates. If you would like to see the 2015 updates CLICK HERE. We are excited for what's to come next season at Magic Mountain and we speculate that it won't be much but it can possibly be great for the park itself.

2016 could possibly be a rest year for Magic Mountain, meaning it might not receive as big of an addition to the park. At a realistic stand point, you can tell that with every addition to the park, one of their themed sections gets revitalized. You saw that with Full Throttle, Green Lantern & Twisted Colossus just to name a few. We speculate that the next areas to be rebooted are either Movie District or Cyclone Bay.
NOTE: These are just RUMORS & SPECULATIONS. This has not been confirmed to actually happen.
Cyclone Bay was introduced in 1991 as a re-themed area with the addition of the now defunct Psylone wooden coaster. Over the years, their has been many additions that have come and go or they are still here, for example: Thrill Shot, Deja Vu, Dive Devil, Cyclone 500, Apocalypse, Jet Stream and most recent up-charge ride, Sling Shot. Since it's re-theme, it has become lackluster with the rides theme and the removals. It is time for a change, Cyclone Bay, is the perfect candidate to bring new guests. We predict that a flat ride or two would be coming if this were true.
Another candidate for a re-themed area is Movie District. This area is known for it's old BATMAN forever stunt show and THE RIDDLER's Revenge. This area is showing it's age as well with empty open areas. Existing rides include Sandblaster, Tidal Wave, Gold Rusher, Scrambler and of course THE RIDDLER's Revenge. The old stunt in the area is currently used for Fright Fest's AFTERMATH maze. it's location would be perfect for Justice League: Battle For Metropolis 4D in the near future.
Apocalypse to get retracked?
RMC is working again in California One being Discovery Kingdom and the other unknown. It's rumored that Apocalypse will be re-tracked with Topper Track seen on Cyclone at New England and Over Georgia. If this is true, this will bring back the young wooden coaster to it's former glory and it's possible to receive a re-theme.
TWO SIDES ON SUPERMAN!
Magic Mountain has reopened the left side of Superman. It is much quieter and great to finally see great capacity into use. The left side was closed since October due to the mid rail malfunction and had to be replace. NOTE for S:EFK: They don't open both sides till later in the day.
This is the end of the update, short & sweet.
What do you think will come?
