I was greeted by the usual Columbia Carousel and not so usual Sky Trek Tower. The cabin was a little less than halfway on the tower and maintenance was inside working. That's probably why I could see through it, usually that panel isn't open.
My friends had confirmed the day before that my favorite coaster had reopened, even the employees at the entrance knew that. So I headed right there for my first ride since it had closed.
As usual, it was testing and doing the AMs.
This was the line at 10:24 and the ride opened literally a minute after this pic was taken.
As I've mentioned before, it feels good to walk through empty queue. I took a seat in the back car since I let my friends get their first rides in the front row. The line for Single Rider wasn't terrible so I took that for a few spins until.... Goliath went down.
The red train was stuck on the lift and Orange was in the station, not sure which caused the problem for the other. This was my sign to go ride something else, nearly an hour and a half after the park opened.
I had lunch at Mooseburger. (Sorry I forgot to take a pic but imagine a double cheese burger with fries and a Sports Bottle in the background) As I was walking between County Fair and Southwest Territory, I noticed Hank. Then I noticed Jim Reid-Anderson, and some other man. I took these pics from afar because I was nervous.
After using the restroom, I approached Mr. Anderson and made small talk. What I did find out is that the unknown man was Six Flags New England's Park President. I found this interesting, two Park Presidents with the CEO and Chairman of Six Flags Inc. Anyways, we got a picture and I went on with my day. After a couple of minutes, I realized that the picture was taken on Hank Salemi's phone and I have yet to receive it.
Now taking a closer look at Sky Trek Tower. The cabin had successfully been lowered and there was some machine in the exit. I was informed that the machine was a welder.
Superman was running One Train Operation, this was odd as I had ridden it earlier in the day with both trains.
Sky Trek Tower looked good with the lighting as I left, and it the Cabin was back at the top.
In Conclusion: Goliath is still a Giant among Wooden Coasters. The park will get stuff done if the press is present enough.
