I got to the park at 10:45 and the line of cars was scary. Before I begin, this was by far the busiest day I've visited in the 2015 season. I visited with a friend who hadn't been in two years, so we stood in lines. Goliath is now his favorite coaster.
I had such a great time with him, I forgot to take pictures until we sat down to split a funnel cake at five o'clock. Anyways, here are the before and after pictures.
While waiting for the train at Hometown Station, I caught up and took some pictures.
Even though it isn't as good as it used to be, Hometown Square is still a nice little homely town that most simply walk through without admiring it.
After taking a round trip ride on the Scenic Railroad, my friend and I separated as I wanted to stay and he was feeling under the weather. I went back to fill an empty seat on Superman. The way the sun was shining made for interesting pictures, as the shadow of Superman's first drop could be seen on the show building of Dark Knight.
When I got to the station, it became obvious that there was one train operation.
So this also means that I was lucky enough to be in the station as maintenance added the second train.
Even though I know that this is the whole point of a transfer track, It was still odd seeing it put to the side.
-Getting the train onto the transfer.
-Moving the transfer back over with the second train on
In all, it only took about fifteen minutes and that isn't bad to increase capacity.
Around eight o'clock, the sky was looking pretty cool, at least from a photographer's perspective. As I got in line for Demon, Iater found out it was because of a storm. I didn't know it at the time, but attractions would not reopen for the rest of the night.
The clouds and lighting certainly make these pictures.
By nine o'clock it was obvious that things wouldn't reopen. So I did Dark Knight a couple of times.
With Tornado Sirens going off and a touch down in the county over, I left during a break in the rain at 9:40.
In Conclusion: Weather is unpredictable, just make the most of your time. If nothing else take pictures!
